Job summary

DurhamLearn is recruiting Sessional Learning Delivery Assistants to support tutors in helping learners overcome barriers to learning. The role mainly involves in-class support, with potential online and 1-1 study coaching, guided by the ALS Co-ordinator and SEND Programme Lead.

Posts are sought to cover the East of Durham County. Ideal candidates will have Level 3 Specialist Support in Teaching and Learning or equivalent, and experience with learners aged 14+.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting learners with additional needs (ALS/SEND/LLDD/SEMH) is advantageous.
• Experience working with 14+ learners.
• Ability to support tutors and contribute to high-quality learning experiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class support and assist tutors in addressing barriers to learning.
• Support learners online in live sessions and provide 1-1 study coaching as directed.
• Contribute to delivery of high-quality learning experiences under the guidance of the ALS Co-ordinator and SEND Programme Lead.
• Work across the East of the county to meet recruitment needs.
