Job summary

Calvary Health Centre in Grimsby is seeking a sessional GP to cover maternity leave on a fixed-term locum from December 2026 to September 2027. The post includes six sessions per week in a small GMS practice serving just under 4,000 patients, with a mix of face-to-face and telephone consultations, home visits and chronic disease management.

The role involves teaching GP trainees, audits and quality improvement, safe prescribing, and working with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Qualified GP, experienced or newly qualified.
• GMC registration is required.
• Listed on the NHS Performers List is required.

Responsibilities

• Face-to-face and telephone consultations.
• Managing acute and chronic conditions.
• Home visits for patients unable to attend the practice.
• Reviewing investigation results and clinical correspondence.
• Making referrals and using Advice & Guidance.
