Priory Hospital Southampton is seeking a Sessional Family Therapist to join our established clinical team on a self-employed basis. You will deliver high-quality family therapy, with a mix of face-to-face sessions at the Priory Wellbeing Centre in Southampton and online where appropriate.

This role supports private practice growth within a trusted healthcare provider. The position requires UKCP registration, AFT membership, and a minimum of two years post-qualification experience in mental

Qualifications

• Must be registered with UKCP and a member of AFT.
• Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience providing therapy to families in mental health settings.
• Strong clinical judgement and excellent communication skills.
• Availability for at least 8 face-to-face sessions per week onsite; evenings until 8pm desirable.
• Accreditation with a relevant professional body is required; those working towards accreditation may be considered within 12 months.

What you'll bring to the role

We welcome applications from Family Therapist, or other specialist modalities.

You will:

• Hold professional registration: Family Therapists are required to be registered on the UKCP register and be a member of AFT (Association of Family Therapists)
• Have a minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience providing therapy to families within a mental health setting.
• Demonstrate strong clinical judgement and excellent communication skills
• Be available to offer 8 face-to-face sessions per week, onsite. Evenings until 8pm are desirable.
• Be confident working within clinical governance frameworks, including digital systems, concise clinical notes, and attendance at risk management meetings

Accreditation: Accreditation with a relevant professional body is required. In certain circumstances, we may consider applicants who are working towards accreditation, provided this can be completed within 12 months of appointment.
