Job summary

Mills CNC Limited is seeking a dedicated field-based engineer to join our servicing team in the North of England, primarily around Greater Manchester. The role focuses on scheduled maintenance, fault diagnosis, and client relations to maintain Mills CNC’s reputation for service excellence.

The ideal candidate is an engineer with an apprenticeship, experienced in CNC turning and milling, and able to work autonomously across customer sites in the UK and Ireland when required.

Qualifications

• Qualified engineer with recognised apprenticeship.
• Experience in CNC machine tool maintenance is desirable.
• Knowledge of CNC turning/milling machine tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled maintenance of DN Solutions machines and others per internal servicing standards.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs where applicable.
• Foster strong relationships with Mills CNC clients and ensure safety protocols are followed.

We have an exciting opportunity for the right engineer to join our expanding department and help Mills maintain our position as the leading service providers in the industry.

What you’ll be doing:

• Carrying out scheduled maintenance of the DN Solutions Machines and others in accordance with our internal servicing standards
• Diagnosing faults and making repairs where appropriate
• Fostering strong professional relationships with all Mills CNC clients
• Ensuring strict compliance with our internal health and safety protocols and procedures.
• Sharing information within Mills in line with our Quality Processes.

Who we’re looking for:

• A qualified engineer with recognised apprenticeship
• Living within the Greater Manchester area to attend customers primarily in the North of England. The successful candidate may also be asked to attend customer sites throughout UK and Ireland when required
• A professional and effective communicator
• A strong proactive attitude and approach to resolving issues on site
• Knowledge of CNC turning and milling machine tools
• Experience in CNC Machine Tool maintenance (desirable)
• CNC control experience on Fanuc, Siemens or Heidenhain control (desirable)
