A leading financial services company in Edinburgh is seeking a ServiceNow Solution Architect to support the design and delivery of scalable solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with ServiceNow, including certification as a System Administrator and proficiency in integration methods. You will engage with stakeholders to shape high-level solutions and contribute to architectural standards within a collaborative culture focused on continuous learning and delivery.

Qualifications

  • Experience in architecture or developer roles with ServiceNow.
  • Proficient in at least two major product suites such as ITSM, HRSD, GRC, SecOps, or DevOps.
  • Ability to make reasoned assumptions in unfamiliar areas.

  • Joining our collaborative Platform team, you’ll help to shape how we deliver scalable, sustainable solutions on the ServiceNow platform
  • Working alongside senior architects, you’ll contribute to high-impact initiatives across ITSM, HRSD, GRC, DevOps, and SecOps

What you'll do

Working directly with experienced ServiceNow architects and engineers, you’ll support the design, assessment, and delivery of ServiceNow solutions that align with business needs and platform strategy.

On a day-to-day basis, this will involve:

  • Engaging with business stakeholders to understand requirements, explain platform capabilities, and shape high-level solutions
  • Supporting senior architects in requirements analysis, solution design, and stakeholder communications
  • Assisting in architectural artefact creation such as blueprints, data models, and integration patterns
  • Helping to evaluate platform capabilities and plugins to meet business needs and estimating high level timeframes to deliver these work packages
  • Acting as a secondary escalation point for development teams, ensuring solutions align with design intent
  • Contributing to governance, best practices, and architectural standards and supporting the reuse of platform components, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and maintainable
The skills you'll need

We’re looking for a someone who is proficient in ServiceNow, holds a ServiceNow System Administrator certification, and is either a Certified Application Developer or Certified Technical Architect at foundation level. You’ll have extensive experience working on ServiceNow in an architecture or developer and senior technical business analyst capacity. You’ll therefore be proficient in the core platform plus at least two major product suites such as ITSM, HRSD, GRC, SecOps, or DevOps. As well as this, you’ll be comfortable making reasoned assumptions when exploring unfamiliar areas, with support and documentation at hand.

We’re also looking for:

  • Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting such as JavaScript and Glide APIs and with integration methods such as REST, SOAP, and MID Server
  • Proficiency in architectural principles such as scalability, modularity, and maintainability
  • Extensive experience working in Agile teams
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain platform concepts clearly to stakeholders with varying expertise including those who are non-technical
  • The ability to collaborate with developers, engineers, and senior architects
  • A proactive and curious approach with a willingness to learn across multiple product suites
