Job summary

X4 Technology in London is seeking a ServiceNow Developer to design, configure and extend the ServiceNow platform to meet evolving business requirements and improve service management.

The role covers ITSM modules, CMDB, Discovery and Service Portal, with a focus on integrations via REST and SOAP. Hybrid work 2-3 days on-site in London, with a 6-month contract and extension potential. Interviews in November 2026; start date November 2026.

Qualifications

• 7–12+ years IT experience with 5–7 years ServiceNow development
• 3+ years ITSM implementation experience
• Experience building integrations using REST and SOAP
• Hands-on ServiceNow configuration of ITSM modules, CMDB, Discovery, Service Portal
• ITIL knowledge; CSA/CIS-ITSM certification preferred

ServiceNow Developer - Role & Responsibilities

• Develop, configure and customise the ServiceNow platform to meet business requirements and improve service management processes.
• Implement and maintain ITSM modules, including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Service Catalogue and SLA Management.
• Configure and support CMDB, Discovery, Service Portal and other platform capabilities to ensure reliable service delivery.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, conduct testing and deployments, and deliver platform enhancements in line with best practices.

ServiceNow Developer - Required Experience

• 7–12+ years of overall IT experience, including 5–7 years of hands-on ServiceNow development and 3+ years of ITSM implementation.
• Experience developing integrations using REST APIs, SOAP Web Services and IntegrationHub.
• Hands-on experience configuring and supporting ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Request and SLA Management), CMDB, Discovery, Service Catalogue and Service Portal.
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes, excellent stakeholder communication skills, and ideally ServiceNow CSA, CAD or CIS-ITSM certification.
