Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation is seeking a skilled Chiller Service Technician to maintain and commission HVAC systems, focusing on large industrial water chillers and energy solutions.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and manage intervention reports while ensuring high safety and quality standards across sites.

Qualifications

• HVAC experience with large industrial water chillers required.
• Qualification in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
• City & Guilds (or equivalent) certification in Safe Handling of Refrigerants.

Responsibilities

• Carry out commissioning operations.
• Ensure preventive maintenance visits and regular inspections of equipment (rooftops, chillers, air-handling units, heat pumps, etc.).
• Perform work and repairs: from detecting leaks to replacing machines, incl. changing compressors.
• Prepare and manage intervention and activity reports.

What You’ll Do — And Why It Matters

• Carry out commissioning operations.
• Ensure preventive maintenance visits and regular inspections of equipment (rooftops, chillers, air-handling units, heat pumps, etc.).
• Perform work and repairs: from detecting leaks to replacing machines, including changing compressors — you intervene in all stages of installation and maintenance.
• Prepare and manage intervention and activity reports.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience within the HVAC industry, particularly with large industrial water chillers.
• Qualification in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
• City & Guilds (or equivalent) certification in Safe Handling of Refrigerants.
• F-Gas Category 1 certification.
• Full driving license.
• Strong technical competence across Carrier and other manufacturers' equipment.
• A natural problem-solver with confidence in high-pressure environments.

Pay Range

The annual salary for this position is between £42,803 to £54,004 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements. We offer a competitive total rewards package that may include other benefits and well-being programs. Offerings vary by role and location and are designed to support employees’ health, security, and success.
