Job summary

A Vehicle Technician position in Cambridge is available at Allscreens Nationwide Ltd. You will review work on customer vehicles and perform fast-fit mechanical tasks, light and full-service work.

We will fund your Level 3 qualifications (IMI & Hybrid) and provide extensive on‑going training, with clear career progression and staff benefits including discounts, life insurance and wellbeing programs.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence – Essential
• Experience as Vehicle Technician (no formal qualifications needed)
• Happy to learn and develop knowledge of Hybrid cars

Responsibilities

• Light and full-service work
• Fast-fit duties (brakes, exhausts, batteries, suspension)
• Use wheel alignment machinery and interpret readings
• Carry out tyre diagnostics and repairs across makes
• Collaborate with workshop team to meet targets

Job description

Our client who is one of the UK’s fastest growing fast-fit automotive business, are currently looking for a Vehicle Technician based at their retail centre in Cambridge.

As a Vehicle Technician you would be responsible for reviewing work on customers vehicles, completing wide range of fast fit mechanical work and light and full-service work.

You do not need to be a qualified technician for this role. Our client is happy to put you through your qualifications!

Location: Cambridge

OTE: Uncapped and realistic £3,600

Shift and schedule: 08:30 - 17:30 Monday to Friday; Saturdays 08:30 – 16:00 on a rota with a day off in the week.

Technical Duties

• Light and full-service work
• Fast fit duties such as replacing and repairing brakes, exhausts, car batteries, suspension parts
• Operating precision wheel alignment machinery, interpreting readings, and completing accurate adjustments
• Carrying out precise tyre diagnostics, fast-fit replacements, and repairs across various vehicle makes
• Working with the rest of the workshop to achieve targets
• Work as a team with the other Vehicle Technicians

To be a Vehicle Technician you will need:

• Have a passion for the Automotive industry and want to develop further
• Want to learn and develop your knowledge of Hybrid cars
