Job summary

Rentokil Initial is hiring a Warehouse Operative at our Fareham branch. You will support the Service Manager to ensure the warehouse runs smoothly in a fast-paced environment. Full-time, Mon-Fri (40 hours) with potential for overtime and salary uplift as the team grows.

No prior experience required as comprehensive training is provided. A valid UK driving licence, good organisation and clear communication with colleagues and customers are essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence held for more than two years.
• Experience in warehouse/logistics preferred.
• Organised, self-motivated and reliable.
• Clear, confident communication with customers and colleagues.
• Willing to pass a DBS check if required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare customer stocks for route delivery.
• Assist drivers with loading and unloading.
• Coordinate with drivers and management to prep stocks.
• Pack, sort and segregate mats, bins and other items daily.
• Keep the service centre area efficient and safe.
• Strive to meet customer service expectations.

The Warehouse Operative Role

In this role, you will support the Service Manager to ensure the service in our Warehouse runs smoothly. Based in the Fareham branch, you will be working with your colleagues to create an efficient and safe environment throughout the facility. Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing customer stocks for route delivery
• Assisting our drivers with loading and unloading of vehicles
• Working closely with drivers and management to ensure customer stocks are prepared for delivery
• Completing daily tasks such as packing, sorting and segregation of mats, rolls, sanitary bins, nappy bins and other customer stocks
• Organising work area to ensure that the service centre is efficient and effective
• Focussing on meeting customer service expectations

Warehouse Operative Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence held for more than two years, with no more than six penalty points.
• Previous experience working within a warehouse or logistics environment
• Organised, self-motivated and reliable
• Demonstrate clear and confident communication skills with customers and colleagues.
• Ability to use own initiative and have a positive 'can do' attitude
• You may be required to pass a DBS check depending on the role you have applied for
