Job summary

Mitie is seeking a Service Support Manager – Cleaning Manager to oversee cleaning services across multiple retail sites in the Peterborough area, with travel to Northampton area. The role involves supervising around 65 sites, managing wages, HR queries, and ensuring compliance with health and safety and SLAs.

ROLE: Service Support Manager – Cleaning Manager

HOURS: Monday to Friday, 40 hours,

LOCATION: Peterborough, Northampton areas - Mobile role with multiple sites

BENEFITS: Company Vehicle (business and private use) & laptop

SALARY: 32K

This role is managing around 65 retails site in the PE/NN post code. The role is not office based so it is essential to hold a UK Drivers licence (company vehicle provided). Specifically, the role is managing the cleaning service at various retailers, including Boots, Superdrug, Lloyds Banking Group, Nationwide Building Society, Decathlon & Reed Recruitment.

As the manager, you will be responsible for ensuring all sites are cleaned - This will involve utilise a mobile cleaning op but also, working with local resource to cover holidays / sickness.

You will also ensure all staff are paid correctly using our in-house system and handle any HR queries as they arise. All contract must be audited within a prescribed period

Your main duties will include:

• Build strong relationships with contract clients and conduct audit inspections.
• Monitor performance against SLAs and cleaning specifications.
• Manage daily employee wages and ensure Health & Safety compliance.
• Follow statutory Fire and Safety regulations to mitigate risks.
• Ensure service delivery across multiple contracts aligns with company policies and procedures (HR, QHSE, RTW, Vetting, Compliance).
