During your apprenticeship, you will receive two types of training.
On-the-job training will be delivered by Schneider Electric, your employer. You’ll receive training and supervision to help you perform your role. This will include skills and knowledge that are outside of the apprenticeship but necessary for the job. In addition to ‘on-the-job’ training, they will support you in other ways to ensure your success.
Types of support will include:
Off-the-job training will be provided by a carefully selected training provider during your normal working hours. You will spend at least 20% of your working hours (approximately 6 hours per week) completing ‘off-the-job’ training. This is protected time and a requirement for apprenticeship delivery. This training will teach you the knowledge, skills, and behaviours outlined in the Level 4 Electrical power networks engineer apprenticeship standard, enabling you to achieve occupational competence.
