Job summary

phs Group, Hayes Operations Centre, is seeking a Service Manager to lead a large frontline team of roughly 60 Service Drivers and supporting staff across London and the South East. You will own the Washrooms and Floorcare operations, focus on delivering excellent customer service and developing a high-performing workforce while shaping the operation for better business performance.

The role requires strong leadership, KPI-driven mindset, and experience in transport/logistics or facilities

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading large teams in service, logistics, transport, facilities management or field operations.
• Strong track record of improving operational performance, productivity and service standards.
• Excellent leadership, coaching and performance management skills.
• Experience using KPIs and operational data to drive improvements.
• Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience of warehouse, stock and operational compliance management.
• Good knowledge of health and safety requirements.
• Strong communication, organisation and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a large frontline team, creating a high-performing and engaged culture.
• Drive service performance, route optimisation, productivity and continuous improvement.
• Manage operational KPIs, budgets and resources to deliver excellent customer service.
• Oversee warehouse and stock operations to ensure efficient, accurate service delivery.
• Champion health, safety and compliance, including vehicle and driver standards.
• Build strong customer and stakeholder relationships to improve retention and support growth.
