Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop the company's technical delivery function and site-based engineering teams.
  • Ensure projects and contracts are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve operational processes and procedures.
  • Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture across the business.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, company procedures, and industry standards.
  • Support and oversee ISO management systems, training compliance, and operational best practice.
  • Maintain a focus on continuous improvement across quality, safety, and technical delivery functions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Support key account management activities and contribute to long-term client retention.
  • Support business development activities for both existing and prospective clients.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and operational growth initiatives.
  • Assist in the development of new services and solutions to meet market demands.
  • Work collaboratively with senior leadership to achieve business objectives and growth targets.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop engineering and operational teams.
  • Identify training and development requirements across the department.
  • Leadership and management of engineering and technical delivery personnel.
  • Oversight of health & safety, technical training, and workforce development activities.
  • Support operational teams in achieving project and business objectives.

Technical Services Manager

Location: Warwickshire (primarily site-based with travel to client locations)

Reporting To: Managing Director

Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing technical delivery capability, managing engineering resources, ensuring high standards of project execution, and maintaining compliance across health & safety, quality management systems, training, and operational performance. The role will work closely with senior leadership to support business growth, client satisfaction, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Technical & Operational Leadership
  • Manage and develop the company's technical delivery function and site-based engineering teams.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proven experience in a Technical Services, Engineering Management, Operations Management or similar leadership role.

  • Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and quality management systems.
  • Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management abilities.
