Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking an experienced Registered Service Manager to lead a Medway residential service. You will drive quality care, develop staff and ensure robust governance across regulatory standards.

The role focuses on delivering person-centred support, maintaining high occupancy and compliance, while guiding teams to continuous improvement and positive outcomes for those supported.

Qualifications

  • Experience in registered management or ready to step up in residential care management.
  • Experience supporting people with learning disabilities and autism.
  • Strong leadership, coaching and people management skills.
  • Knowledge of CQC regulations and quality standards.
  • Ability to drive service improvement and performance.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Willingness to work towards Level 5 Diploma if not held.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and develop a dedicated staff team.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, quality and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure regulatory, legislative and contractual requirements are met.
  • Manage service performance, compliance and quality assurance processes.
  • Complete audits, reports and action plans.
  • Oversee recruitment, induction and colleague development.
  • Support positive outcomes and greater independence for the people we support.
  • Manage budgets and service performance.
  • Prepare the service for future CQC inspections.
  • Support planned growth and development opportunities within the service.

About the Role

As Registered Service Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the service, ensuring the highest standards of care, quality and compliance are maintained.

Working closely with local authorities, healthcare professionals, families and your regional leadership team, you'll focus on delivering excellent person-centred support whilst inspiring your team to be the very best they can be.

What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager or an experienced Care Manager ready to step up
  • Residential care management experience
  • Experience supporting people with Learning Disabilities and Autism
  • Strong leadership, coaching and people management skills
  • Knowledge of CQC regulations and quality standards
  • Ability to drive service improvement and performance
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards)
