You will be responsible for:
As a Build Maintenance Technician your specific responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks. To thrive in this role, you will need to:
- Ensure all Tesco sites are safe and functioning environments for customers and colleagues.
- Follow the planned work schedule to achieve first-time fixes, maximizing productivity and effectiveness.
- Deliver high-quality work standards across the estate, with year-on-year improvements.
- Communicate and build effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Work closely with team members, sharing best practices and knowledge.
- Use problem-solving skills and innovation to identify and develop solutions for key and common issues.
- Own tasks at a local level through to completion/resolution, informing key stakeholders when required.
- Own your development through progression of the maintenance pathway.
- Drive your own monthly 1-2-1 schedule with your line manager.
- Use mobile devices (phone and tablet) to drive best practices in work completion and updates.
- Use business systems to support asset lifecycle management through WON reporting.
- Represent the Tesco brand by following business ways of working, demonstrating values-led behaviors, a positive attitude, and pride in wearing the Tesco uniform.
- Attend local and national meetings, providing valuable input and feedback.
- Support KPI delivery through practical application of skill sets and effective use of business systems to achieve your KPIs.
- Support a diverse and inclusive culture.
You will need:
Operational Skills:
- Full driving license
- Health & Safety awareness
- Communication & stakeholder management
- Office 365 knowledge
- Completed all relevant technical training modules
- Bricklaying & Masonry
- Roof construction and maintenance
- Cement / Concrete preparation
- Groundworks & Paving
- Tiling and Flooring
- Plastering & Dry walling
Relevant Experience:
- Completion of a Recognised Apprenticeship or Trade Proficiency Test or equivalent qualification
- Experience in bricklaying, construction, or similar trades
- Digitally confident with mobile phones and tablets for workload management and communication
