Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities. We transform lives by delivering high-quality, person-centred support that fosters independence and empowerment.

Our charity was founded in 1988 and we were one of the pioneers of the ‘Care in the Community’ agenda, enabling people to move out of long-stay institutions and live more fulfilling lives.

Since then, we’ve remained leaders in social care, providing bespoke support to thousands across the UK. Today, we support more than 2,600 people and employ 6,600 caring and committed colleagues across England and Scotland.

We have a proud history of breaking boundaries and are always looking for new ways to make a positive difference through bold ideas, innovative projects and impactful partnerships.

In Banff we have one young man who is currently supported 2:1. He has a lot of interests and is always busy but also likes time at home relaxing with his team. He is a lovable young man who loves to be the centre of attention. We are gradually supporting with growing independence, so a positive risk-taking attitude is key.

In Peterhead we have a gentleman who is supported 1:1. He is quiet gentleman who loves to take trips on the bus shopping. He also loves to stay at home watching films with his team. He needs support to manage his finances and make good decisions with his budget. A friendly positive attitude is key to supporting this, Gentleman.

In Turriff the people we support can be independent but may need some support to motivate them to be independently safe. They may also require reminding to look after themselves in a healthy manner. They will also require some reassuring around mobility and active support with cooking and household chores. It is important to them to support with routines, structure and consistency in their lives. They like people who are patient and take the time to get to know their needs, likes and dislikes. Activities they enjoy are listening to music, watching crime shows on TV, shopping, meeting dogs and other animals and spending time in their large garden.

With experience working in a health or social care setting, you will have an upbeat positive manner, as well as having a genuine passion for supporting people to become a part of their local and wider community.

You will also have experience working with people supported who present behaviours that require intensive support planning and management to ensure their safety and quality of life at all times.

In addition you will be comfortable using basic IT systems that are required within the role - training can be offered to support this area. You will also hold a professional qualification in Health and Social Care, i.e. Nurse, Social Worker, SVQ Level 3 plus supervisory units (Scotland) / Care Management Level 3 (England).

What We're Looking For

At Community Integrated Care, we know it takes someone special to work in social care and that doesn’t always mean having experience. We hire based on values, welcoming people from all walks of life: seasoned support workers, Care Assistants, Veterans, those with lived experience, or even total newbies with a passion to care.
