Job Overview

Nuclear Medicine – Wrexham Maelor Hospital

An opportunity has arisen at Wrexham Maelor Hospital to operationally manage the local Nuclear Medicine service and the outsourced mobile PET-CT service (based at Wrexham). The department is part of the wider BCUHB radiology service, which has 3 SPECT-CT scanners (one at each DGH site in North Wales), including a local radiopharmacy. A GE870DR SPECT-CT system has been recently installed. The mobile PET-CT service operates 3 days per week. Applications are welcomed from technologists and radiographers with nuclear medicine experience.

Job Details

Position: Service Lead Radiographer / Technologist (B7)

Location: Wrexham Maelor Hospital

Main Duties

• Operational management of the nuclear medicine and mobile PET-CT services, including staff line management, service optimization, and quality and safety standards.
• Collaborate with principal radiographers and regional service lead radiographers to develop services across North Wales.
• Participate in regional service reorganization and development towards a centre of excellence for Nuclear Medicine and PET-CT.
• Assist in securing the future of nuclear medicine modalities in the region.

Welsh language skills are desirable; applications in Welsh are equally welcome.
