Veolia Environmental Services (UK) Plc is seeking a Service Engineer in the UK to perform on-site maintenance and provide technical and commercial support to municipal water treatment clients. You will troubleshoot issues, maintain system reliability, and contribute to customer satisfaction while potentially working weekends and holidays as part of an on-call rota.

Formación

• Experience as a Service Engineer in the municipal market and knowledge of sewage and drinking water treatment sites.
• NVQ or higher in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering or similar; working towards is fine but not essential.
• Strong communication skills for client engagement and problem solving.
• Excellent organisational skills to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects.
• Punctual, presentable, focused on customer satisfaction and service excellence.
• Full UK driving licence is essential for this role.

• On-Site Maintenance: preventative and corrective maintenance, commissioning, upgrades and refurbishments.
• Technical Support: post-sales technical and commercial support to clients and feedback for product development.
• Customer Focus: build and maintain relationships, offer recommendations to improve system reliability and productivity.
• Troubleshooting and Fault Finding: hands-on problem solving to keep systems running.
• On-Call Flexibility: may include weekends/holidays; participate in the On-Call Rota to support clients when needed.

As a Service Engineer, your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• On-Site Maintenance: Conducting both preventative and corrective maintenance, including commissioning, upgrades, and refurbishments
• Technical Support: Offering after-sales technical and commercial support to clients, and gathering feedback to assist in future product development
• Customer Focus: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, offering recommendations to enhance system reliability and productivity
• Troubleshooting and Fault Finding: You'll be hands-on, solving challenges to keep systems running smoothly
• On-Call Flexibility: As part of this role, a flexible approach to customers' needs and working hours is required and may include the need for you to work some weekends and during some public holidays. As you grow in the role, you'll join our 'On-Call Rota' to ensure our clients receive support when they need it most

Requirements

• Experience: Previous experience as a Service Engineer in the municipal market. Knowledge of sewage and drinking water treatment sites.

• Driving Licence: A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
