Veolia Water Technologies is seeking a Healthcare Specialist Service Engineer to cover Manchester and surrounding areas. The role is field-based, permanent, with a 4-on, 4-off rota and a 40-hour week. Competitive salary plus an uplift of £10,000, company vehicle and fuel card, along with bonus schemes.

The position focuses on renal lab equipment servicing in healthcare, involving on-site maintenance, technical support, customer relations, and on-call duties. A driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• On-site maintenance: preventative and corrective maintenance, commissioning, upgrades and refurbishments.
• Technical support: after-sales support and feedback for product development.
• Customer focus: build relationships and advise on system reliability and productivity.
• Troubleshooting and fault finding: hands-on problem solving to keep systems running.
• On-call flexibility: participate in on-call rota for customer support.

What will you be doing?

As a Service Engineer, your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• On-Site Maintenance: Conducting both preventative and corrective maintenance, including commissioning, upgrades, and refurbishments

• Technical Support: Offering after-sales technical and commercial support to clients, and gathering feedback to assist in future product development

• Customer Focus: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, offering recommendations to enhance system reliability and productivity

• Troubleshooting and Fault Finding: You’ll be hands-on, solving challenges to keep systems running smoothly

• On-Call Flexibility: As you grow in the role, you'll join our ‘On-Call Rota’ to ensure our clients receive support when they need it most

Qualifications

What do we need from you?

• Experience: Previous experience as a Service Engineer in the Healthcare and Scientific market. Knowledge of water treatment or wastewater plants is desirable.

• Qualifications: NVQ or higher in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering or similar or even working towards would be ideal but not essential.

• Client-Facing Skills: Strong communication skills and experience engaging with clients, offering solutions and handling challenging conversations.

• Time Management: Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects effectively.

• Professionalism: A punctual, presentable individual who values customer satisfaction and strives to provide best-in-class service.

• Driving Licence: A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
