Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is helping a thriving rail maintenance specialist recruit a Service Engineer (Mechanical / Electrical) to service rail depots nationwide, including a Newark-on-Trent reference. The role involves maintaining pumps, motors, bearings, control and fuel systems and air compressors across the UK.

The position offers a Monday–Friday 8:30am–4:30pm schedule with 1.5x overtime and a related on-call rota.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have a Mechanical and Electrical background.
• Experience servicing rail depot equipment is desirable.
• Willingness to travel nationally.

Responsibilities

• Servicing a variety of rail depots and air compressors all over the UK.
• Mechanical and electrical repairs on motors, pumps, bearings, vacuums, control and fuel systems.
• Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm. Overtime available at 1.5x.
• On call rota 1 in 7 weeks. Bonus paid for call-outs at overtime rate.

Are you a Service Engineer from a Mechanical and Electrical background looking to join a thriving and well-established company offering excellent in-house training and progression opportunities to lead engineering and managerial positions?
