Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Service Engineer with a mechanical and electrical background to join a well-established company operating across the UK rail depot sector. You will service rail depots and air compressors, performing mechanical and electrical repairs on motors, pumps, bearings, control and fuel systems within a role that offers progression and comprehensive in-house training.

The position features a standard Monday to Friday schedule, generous overtime rates, door-to-door

Qualifications

• Service Engineer with mechanical and electrical background required.
• Willing to cover national patch and travel across the UK.
• Overtime paid at 1.5x; door-to-door pay possibilities.

Responsibilities

• Servicing a variety of rail depots and air compressors all over the UK
• Mechanical and electrical repairs on motors, pumps, bearings, vacuums, control and fuel systems
• Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm. Overtime available at 1.5x
• On call rota 1 in 7 weeks. Bonus paid for call-outs at overtime rate

Are you a Service Engineer from a Mechanical and Electrical background looking to join a thriving and well-established company offering excellent in-house training and progression opportunities to lead engineering and managerial positions?

In this role you will cover a national patch and be responsible for servicing rail depot equipment. This will range from pumps, motors, bearings, control and fuel systems and air compressor systems. It will be a varied role with a mix of mechanical and electrical maintenance.

This long-standing company have been operating for over 4 decades and specialise in the maintenance of rail depots and air compressor equipment. They have become well regarded by their blue-chip clientele all over the UK and pride themselves on their high quality of work and staff retention.
