Hunter Selection Ltd seeks a Service Engineer - Mechanical to join a market-leading supplier of automated processing solutions. Based in Northampton with nationwide UK travel, you will service, inspect, and maintain high-speed conveyor systems on-site at customer sites.

The role offers training, a company van, overtime, pension, 25 days holiday, and progression opportunities. NVQ level 3 or equivalent is preferred, with strong fault finding and hands-on mechanical skills.

Formación

• Strong mechanical skills e.g. gears, bearings, shafts and belts.
• Mechanically qualified, at least to NVQ level 3.
• Excellent fault finding and problem-solving ability.
• Experience with material handling equipment and conveyors is beneficial.
• Autonomous and travel-heavy role with broad customer-site coverage.

Responsabilidades

• Travel to customer sites and service/ppm high-speed conveyor systems.
• Provide onsite technical support, troubleshooting and repair.
• Conduct onsite training for customers.
• Prepare report sheets with timely, detailed information.
• Work on vertical elevating equipment such as pallet hoists, boxlifters, bucket elevators.
• Cover the UK with regular stays away and some weekend/night work.

This is a rare opportunity to join a market leading company that design, manufacture, and install some of the worlds most advanced automated processing solutions. This company supply into a diverse range of industries and sectors and supply into some of the biggest companies and household names in the country. They now require an additional Mechanical Service Engineer to provide exceptional service to their client base throughout the UK. You will be required to perform on-site inspections, site surveys, Planned maintenance and service, with some installations and customer training. This is varied role and offers you the chance to work with a genuine market leader and work on some of the most advanced and exciting facilities in the UK.

Role & Responsibilities

• Working from home, you will travel to customer sites and undertake the service and ppm's on high speed conveyor based systems.
• Provide high-level technical support and expertise onsite for the customer along with any trouble shooting, service and repair of machinery and equipment
• Provide onsite training for customers
• Prepare report sheets with detailing information in a timely manner
• Work on a variety of vertical elevating equipment such as, pallet hoists, boxlifters, and bucket elevators.
• Covering the whole of the UK with regular stay away and occasional weekend and night work

Knowledge, Skills, and experience

• Strong Mechanical skills e.g. experience on gears, bearings, shafts, belts etc

• Excellent fault finding and problem-solving ability
• Experience working on material handling equipment and conveyor systems would be beneficial
