Kingston Barnes Ltd is recruiting a Mechanical Field Service Engineer to cover the Midlands region. The role requires a strong mechanical background and involves installing, maintaining, repairing and commissioning equipment, with occasional overnight stays in surrounding counties.

You will work on materials handling machinery including lifts and conveyors, with SAP service application experience desirable and a proactive, safety‑minded attitude. A full UK working entitlement is required.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification essential.
• Great mechanical knowledge and skills.
• Mechanical and/or engineering qualification.
• Experience as a field engineer desirable.
• Materials handling industry exposure.
• Experience with wheels, shafts, belts and conveyors.
• SAP service application experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, service visits, repairs, commissioning and breakdown response for all equipment.
• Cover a patch of the Midlands with travel and overnight stays as required.

Are you a Field Service Engineer with a strong mechanical background looking for an exciting new opportunity?

Kingston Barnes is now recruiting an exciting position for a Mechanical Field Service Engineer for one of our clients covering a patch of the Midlands and surrounding counties.

The Company:

A company is a well-respected manufacturer operating in the Materials Handing industry (lifts and elevators). They work with major brand names such as Amazon, Davies Turner, GXO, John Lewis, and Ocado. This company are responsible for the manufacture, design, install and all aftersales of their products. This company has extremely high standards and prides themselves in providing top quality service to their customers.

The Role:

Within the role of the Mechanical Service Engineer, you will be tasked with the installing, maintenance, service visits, repairs, commissioning and breakdown response for all company machinery. This role will require you to cover a patch of the Midlands and surrounding areas, this will require some stay away so ideally a candidate with experience of staying away will be successful. The candidate that will be successful will be someone who demonstrates a good working attitude, has good interpersonal skills and has a mechanical background. Equipment includes: Box lifts, Carton Lifts, Bulk material handling solutions.

Requirements:
