Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is recruiting for a Service Engineer (Agricultural) in Ripon, North Yorkshire. You will service and repair agricultural machinery on-site, diagnosing faults and performing routine maintenance to ensure high-quality operation.

The position is full-time and permanent, offering a comprehensive package including a company van, fuel card, laptop and ample overtime. Training and progression are emphasized, with a pension scheme and staff discounts available.

Qualifications

• Experience with hydraulics and electrical/mechanical fault finding.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Accurately diagnosing faults, servicing and carrying out emergency repairs on agricultural machinery (tractors, combines, balers).
• Travel to customer sites to maintain and repair machinery to high quality.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on agricultural/horticultural equipment.
• Work independently on customer sites and coordinate with colleagues to provide the best solution.
• Handle engines, batteries and hydraulics and perform fault finding and repairs.

Job Role: Service Engineer (Agricultural)

Location: Ripon, North Yorkshire

Salary: £31,000-£35,000 (OTE £38,000-£40,000)

Hours: Monday-Friday 08.00-17.00, + Overtime @ 1.5x Mon-Sat, 2x Sundays and bank holidays

Job Type: Full time, Permanent

The package:

The Duties:

• Accurately diagnosing faults, servicing and carrying out emergency repairs/breakdowns on agricultural machinery (tractors, combiners, Bailers etc).
  • Travel to customer sites to ensure all machinery is maintained and repaired to the highest quality.
  • Carry out diagnostics to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on agricultural and horticultural machinery
  • The ability to work independently within the customer sites and collaborate with colleagues to ensure documentation and the perfect solution is offered.
  • Working on engines, batteries and hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical fault finding and repairs.
  • Liaising with clients to diagnose faults and find solutions for them.

The Requirements:

• Previous experience working with hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical capabilities (essential)
• Previous experience working within the Agricultural industry experience (advantageous)
• Electrical and/or Mechanical fault finding, repair & service experience (advantageous)
• Experience working with engines and batteries (advantageous)
• Relevant qualifications NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering (advantageous)
• Full UK Drivers License
