Job summary

Interaction Technical is partnering with an established supplier of agricultural machinery to recruit an Agricultural Engineer for Market Weighton. You will diagnose faults, service and repair tractors, combines and other equipment at customer sites.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing hydraulic, mechanical and electrical faults.
• Experience with engines and batteries is advantageous.
• Full UK Driving Licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults, service and repair agricultural machinery (tractors, combines, balers).
• Travel to customer sites to maintain and repair machinery to high standards.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on agricultural and horticultural equipment.
• Work independently on site and collaborate with colleagues to provide effective solutions.
• Work on engines, batteries, hydraulics, and related fault finding and repairs.
• Liaise with clients to diagnose faults and provide solutions.

Job Role: Agricultural Engineer

Location: Market Weighton, East Yorkshire

Salary: £28,000-£34,000

Hours: Monday-Friday #removed#, + Overtime @ 1.5x Mon-Sat, 2x Sundays and bank holidays

Job Type: Full time, Permanent

The client:

Interaction Technical is partnering with a well-established and highly respected supplier of agricultural, ground care, and garden machinery. Due to continued business growth, they are currently looking to onboard an agricultural engineer to join their team.

The package:

• 32 days holiday including bank holidays + 1 extra day off for your birthday

The Duties:

• Accurately diagnosing faults, servicing and carrying out emergency repairs/breakdowns on agricultural machinery (tractors, combiners, Bailers etc).
• Travel to customer sites to ensure all machinery is maintained and repaired to the highest quality.
• Carry out diagnostics to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on agricultural and horticultural machinery
• The ability to work independently within the customer sites and collaborate with colleagues to ensure documentation and the perfect solution is offered.
• Working on engines, batteries and hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical fault finding and repairs.
• Liaising with clients to diagnose faults and find solutions for them.

The Requirements:

• Previous experience working with hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical capabilities (essential)
• Previous experience working within the Agricultural industry experience (advantageous)
• Electrical and/or Mechanical fault finding, repair & service experience (advantageous)
• Experience working with engines and batteries (advantageous)
• Relevant qualifications NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering (advantageous)
• Full UK Drivers License
