Job summary

Proactive Global is seeking a hands-on Service Engineer to join our client’s team in Cambridgeshire. The role involves travelling to customer sites to service bespoke machinery, diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, and assist with installation and commissioning.

You will work both on-site and at the company premises, with a focus on safety, quality and customer service. The ideal candidate has practical experience with electrical and mechanical systems, fault-finding skills, and

Qualifications

Practical experience with electrical and mechanical systems, especially in service or maintenance environments.
Good fault-finding and troubleshooting skills with a hands-on approach.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams or documentation.
Comfortable travelling to customer sites and working on various machinery and equipment.
Experience with robotics or automated systems.

Responsibilities

Travel to customer sites to service, maintain, fault-find and repair bespoke machinery and automated systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults and implement effective solutions.
Assemble machinery and equipment at the company premises when not on-site.
Assist with installation, commissioning and servicing of machinery and automation equipment.
Work independently on customer sites, upholding safety, quality and customer service.
Support reliable operation and performance of equipment through maintenance and repair.
