Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Service Engineer for compressors and generators, based in Huddersfield. This field-based role covers the North of England and Midlands, offering a provided van and door-to-door pay with ongoing training.

You will service, install and maintain a range of industrial air compressors and generators at customer sites, with a clear path for long-term stability and progression as you develop specialist skills.

Qualifications

• Experience as a service/maintenance engineer with air compressors.
• Servicing, maintenance and installation of air compressors and generators.
• Full training provided on oxygen and nitrogen generators.

Responsibilities

• Perform servicing, maintenance and installation of air compressors and generators.
• Travel to sites across the North of England and Midlands.
• Cover a local patch within a 2–3 hour radius of home; rarely stay away.
• Work Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.

Are you an Engineer with any experience working on air compressors, looking for a field-based role covering a local patch with door to door pay, in a provided van in a long-term and stable role?

Covering the North of England and the Midlands, you will be servicing, installing and maintaining a range of industrial air compressors and generators, with plenty of training given.

Founded over 15 years ago, this company are experienced unprecedented growth and are looking to bolster the team for the long term, doubling their turnover last year. They work within most industries including manufacturing, laboratories, MoD, and oil & gas.

This role would suit a Service or Maintenance Engineer with compressor experience looking for a career in a company who will invest in them, with further training on specialist equipment.

The Role:

• Performing servicing, maintenance and installation of air compressors and generators
• Travelling to sites from across the North and Midlands
• Full training provided on oxygen and nitrogen generators
• Covering a local patch within a 2/3-hour radius of your home, very rarely staying away
• Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week
