Elevation People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a leading installation and maintenance business specialising in compressed air systems. We are seeking skilled Field Service Engineers to join the team across the Midlands with UK-wide travel.

The role offers variety, autonomy, and a path for technical development, with a competitive salary and a company vehicle. Applicants should be proactive and able to work to high standards on-site.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ preferred).
• Experience with compressed air systems or multi-skilled maintenance.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and diagnose faults.
• Willingness to travel across the UK and hold a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and maintain compressed air systems.
• Deliver on-site customer service and technical advice.
• Complete service reports and documentation accurately.
• Assist Service Manager to improve service delivery.
• Support Sales during site visits to identify opportunities.
• Ensure H&S compliance and customer procedures.
• Share knowledge with colleagues to foster team development.
• Aim for first-time-fix wherever possible.

Job Title

Field Service Engineer – Compressed Air Systems

Location

Coventry covering the Midlands (with occasional UK-wide travel)

Hours

40 hours Monday to Friday (flexibility required for occasional callouts and travel)

Elevation People Solutions are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a leading Installation and maintenance business — a growing engineering business known for its expertise in compressed air systems. Due to continued expansion, we are seeking skilled and motivated Field Service Engineers to join the team. This role offers variety, autonomy, and the chance to represent a reputable business across a broad client base in the Midlands and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, service, and maintain compressed air systems, including nitrogen generators and some process cooling equipment.
• Act as a technical ambassador for the company, delivering customer service excellence on-site.
• Complete accurate and detailed service reports and documentation.
• Work with the Service Manager to enhance service delivery quality.
• Support the Sales team by identifying new business opportunities during site visits.
• Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations and customer-specific procedures.
• Share knowledge and best practices with colleagues to foster team development.
• Maintain a tidy, organised approach to work and aim for first-time-fix solutions.

Candidate Requirements

• Engineering qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ preferred).
• Proven experience with compressed air systems or as a multi-skilled maintenance engineer.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding abilities.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and diagnose electrical faults.
• Knowledge of star/delta motor starters and multimeter usage.
• Competent PC skills for interacting with diagnostic equipment/software.
• Self-motivated and professional, with excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Willingness to travel occasionally across the UK.
• Full UK driving licence (essential).

Desirable qualifications

• F-Gas certification, 17th Edition or similar electrical certification.
