Job summary

Permanent Futures Limited is seeking an experienced Electrical Field Service Engineer to support customers across the South of England. You will install, commission, maintain and fault-find specialist electrical equipment in clean, professional environments.

The role offers a fully expensed company vehicle, fuel card, paid door-to-door travel, premium overtime rates, and ongoing training and development. The work is varied and rewarding for engineers who take pride in delivering technically

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation, Electrical Maintenance, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 17th or 18th Edition qualified.
• Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Installation Engineer, Commissioning Engineer, or Maintenance Engineer.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and maintain specialist electrical equipment at customer sites.
• Carry out fault diagnosis, repair, servicing, and planned maintenance work.
• Undertake electrical testing and commissioning in live customer environments.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance and reactive service visits.
• Conduct site surveys and support installation planning activities.
• Produce accurate service reports, technical documentation, and customer updates.
• Represent the business professionally while working on customer sites.

• Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Installation Engineer, Commissioning Engineer, or Maintenance Engineer.
• Strong electrical fault-finding, testing, and diagnostic skills.
• Comfortable travelling regularly across the South of England.
• Experience working on specialist electrical equipment, medical devices, healthcare equipment, industrial equipment, or similar would be beneficial.
• Full UK driving licence.
