For the successful Service Engineer our client is offering:

• Competitive salary paying up to £43,290 Per Annum - Depending on experience
• Permanent Role
• Working hours - 8am-5:30pm Monday to Friday

The role – Service Engineer :

• Our client is currently looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer who will be covering the Glasgow & surrounding areas
• Maintain cranes, prolonging the life of the equipment under our remit by means of preventative maintenance and servicing.
• Reduce avoidable costs where possible for the group by achieving first time fix rate.
• Advise the group/site in crane related and lifting operation matters.
• Reduce crane breakdowns by Preventative Maintenance on component items.
• Carry out fault diagnosis and route cause analysis on components after failure.
• Completion of Risk Assessment/Method Statements and Point of Work Risk Assessments.
• Collate crane performance data and send monthly reports to manager for all sites.
• Understand and deploy continuous improvement and problem-solving techniques to optimise crane availability, reliability and performance.

What our client is looking for in a Service engineer :

• Will have demonstrable technical experience with a similar, mobile service role.
• Possess the necessary experience in working with relevant mechanical, electrical & hydraulic systems.
• Will have existing knowledge of some of the following plants would be beneficial: i.e forklifts
• Will need to be flexible with regard to travel, tasks performed, and working hours.
• Should be comfortable working independently and be an effective problem solver.
• Will possess excellent planning, organisation, and time management skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence
