Senior Service Engineer (Thermal Management/Liquid Cooling)
Due to further growth and expansion, an opportunity has become available for a Senior Service Engineer for our clients, a global electro-technology company. The role involves building, developing, and leading their Thermal Management/Liquid Cooling service team at their Rotherham site, and traveling to customer sites to carry out commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance work on electrical, refrigeration, and thermal management technology.
Position Overview:
- Carrying out commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance on thermal management/refrigeration products at customer sites
- Creating and supervising a service workshop at the Rotherham location, carrying out repairs, and optimizing operational processes
- Liaising with the EMEA service team
- Cooperating across departments to clarify customer complaints and maintaining service-oriented communication with customers and internal teams
- Documenting, tracking, and managing work using internal IT systems
- Coordinating, developing, and leading the team
What you bring with you:
- Completed vocational training in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or refrigeration technology
- Several years of experience in service for advice-intensive industrial products; good IT knowledge in MS Office is desirable
- Enjoy dealing with people, confident, and service-oriented demeanor with customers
- Manual skills and a high level of quality and safety awareness
Experience required:
- Proven experience as an industrial refrigeration/thermal management Service Engineer
- Relevant technical qualifications in Refrigeration/Thermal Management or Air Conditioning: NVQ level 2 or equivalent and F-Gas Certificate
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration/thermal systems, controls, and components
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience in electrical fault finding; Electrical Certificate: 18th Edition is a plus
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- A full UK driving license (clean preferred)
- Willingness to travel as required, both within the UK and Europe
