Job summary

Precision People is seeking a Service Engineer for a field-based role in the South-West London & Surrey patch. The role focuses on servicing and repairing platform lifts and access equipment across commercial, industrial, and residential sites.

The candidate will perform PPMs, diagnose faults, and respond to breakdowns, while maintaining strong customer communication and on-site documentation with handheld devices. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Service Engineer or Lift Engineer
• Strong electro-mechanical background
• Experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance
• Proven fault-finding skills across mechanical and electrical systems
• Experience on access equipment, lifts or similar systems
• Professional and customer-focused approach and able to work independently

My client is a well-established engineering business operating across the UK, providing specialist maintenance and support on access equipment. They are currently looking for a skilled Service Engineer to join their growing team, working across a variety of environments, including commercial, industrial, and residential sites.

The Role - Service Engineer

• Servicing and repairing platform lifts and access equipment
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults
• Responding to reactive breakdowns across your patch
• Working across commercial, industrial, and residential environments

Minimum Skills / Experience Required - Service Engineer

• Experience working as a Service Engineer / Lift Engineer / Platform Lift Engineer / Maintenance Engineer / Field Service Engineer

• Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical and electrical systems
