Job summary

Demob Job Ltd is seeking a Field Service Engineer to cover Cardiff, Wales and surrounding areas. The role involves home-based field service with on-site servicing, fault finding, diagnostics and repairs across compressed air equipment.

You will join an established engineering business that provides specialist compressed air services to various industries across the UK. Training is provided and travel including overnights is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum NVQ Level 3 - Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven experience in service, maintenance, repairs, and installations.
• Experience with compressed air systems preferred.
• Electrical fault finding including PLCs.
• Good troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Security Clearance required.
• Own toolkit (specialist tools provided).
• Full UK driving licence; travel including overnights.

Responsibilities

• Provide service and support to customers across the region.
• Carry out planned servicing, fault finding, diagnostics and repairs.
• Respond to breakdowns and complete installation and commissioning work.
• Attend customer sites across Cardiff, Wales and surrounding areas.

Job description

My client has an immediate requirement for a Field Service Engineer to join their team, covering Cardiff, Wales and surrounding areas. The successful Field Service Engineer will be responsible for providing service and support to customers across their region, working on a wide range of compressed air equipment and associated systems.

This is a home-based field service role and will involve attending customer sites to carry out planned servicing, fault finding, diagnostics and repairs, as well as responding to breakdowns and completing installation and commissioning work.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established engineering business who provide specialist compressed air services to customers across a range of industries throughout the UK.

Field Service Engineer Requirements:

• Hold a minimum of NVQ Level 3 - Mechanical Engineering
• Proven experience of carrying out equipment service, maintenance, repairs, and installations.
• Ideally have previous experience of compressed air systems.
• Capable of carrying out electrical fault finding, including PLCs.
• Good troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Must hold Security Clearance.
• Must have own toolkit (specialist tools provided)
• Must be flexible to travel including occasional overnights and on call rota.
• Hold full UK driving licence.
