Job summary

NT Engineering & Manufacturing in Glasgow seeks an experienced Service Engineer to cover inspection, maintenance, repair and commissioning of LV switchboards and circuit breakers across the UK, with occasional overseas travel.

You will diagnose faults on LV switchgear, carry out preventive maintenance on marine and industrial sites, and produce detailed service reports. Travel nationwide with live-system work when authorised. A strong reporting ability is essential.

Qualifications

• HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
• Proven fault finding and maintenance experience on LV switchgear or distribution equipment.
• Strong report writing skills; ability to explain technical issues clearly in writing.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel, including occasional overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing and fixing electrical faults on LV switchgear and switchboards.
• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across marine and industrial sites.
• Writing up clear, detailed service and inspection reports.
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Building genuine relationships with customers, becoming a trusted technical point of contact.
• Occasionally working on live systems (fully authorised and supported).

Are you an experienced electrical engineer who is happiest out on the road, solving real faults on real equipment, rather than stuck behind a desk?

We're working with a world class specialist in low voltage circuit breakers and electrical distribution equipment, trusted across marine, industrial and commercial building projects globally. They are looking for a Service Engineer to join their field based Service team, covering inspection, maintenance, repair and commissioning of LV switchboards and circuit breakers across the UK, with occasional overseas travel.

What you'll be doing
