Job summary

Otis is seeking a maintenance mechanic in London to ensure passenger safety by maintaining lifts and escalator units. You will perform routine service checks, inspect equipment, and coordinate with the field manager.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 in lift service, maintenance, or repair, a valid driver's license, and at least 24 months in the elevator sector. You should be safety-focused, communicative, and capable of working solo or in a team.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in lift service, maintenance or repair is required.
• Driver's license is required.
• At least 24 months of elevator sector experience.
• Strong knowledge of electricity and electrical engineering.
• Safety must be the priority in all tasks.
• Excellent communication with clients and teammates.
• Comfortable working alone or in a team and using electronic/digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine service checks on a number of units across the site and report to the field manager.
• Be the face of the business, providing updates to clients about work carried out.
• Respond to breakdowns and coordinate with passengers and the client to fix issues.
• Perform minor repairs as needed.

Job description

Otis is growing and is looking for a maintenance mechanic for one of our entities located in London. You will ensure the safety of passengers by safely maintaining a portfolio of lifts and escalator units. On a typical day you will:

• Perform routine service checks on a number of units across the site, recording and escalating your findings to the field manager.


• Be the face of the business, often providing updates to clients around work carried out.


• React to sudden breakdowns, working with both passengers and the client to provide a technical solution to breakdown issues.


• Perform minor repairs.


• Hold an NVQ level 3 in lift service, maintenance, or repair.


• Hold a drivers license.


• You have at least 24 months of experience in the elevator sector.


• You have good skills in electricity and electrical engineering


• You are a committed professional, with safety as your priority


• You are comfortable communicating to others


• You are curious, adaptable, and you know how to work alone or in a team


• You are comfortable using electronic and digital tools.
