Job summary

Motion Applied is seeking a Service Desk/ICT Analyst to act as the first technical contact for users across our Woking area sites. You will join the Business Technology team to deliver a seamless experience for end-users, handling incidents, device provisioning, inductions, software packaging, and on-call support.

The role requires strong customer service, practical experience with Intune/Defender/JAMF/M365, and familiarity with service desk tools.

Qualifications

• Windows and Mac troubleshooting.
• Excellent customer service.
• Experience with Intune, Defender, JAMF, EntraID & M365 Suite.
• Previous experience of service desk ticketing tools.
• Application packaging.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage time to get the best outcome for the business.
• Experience of engineering/CAD systems would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of Information security frameworks, with experience of maintaining certification programmes (ISO27001) and aligned with standards in the automotive and rail industry.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming technical support through the Service Desk system and walk-ins to the Tech Bar, and manage the support requests.
• Provision and decommission user devices and provide induction for use of the ICT systems.
• Run ICT inductions and help new staff through the ICT on-boarding process.
• Install Engineering applications through service desk processes.
• Package Applications for Windows and Mac.
• Manage and maintain meeting rooms.
• Support asset and change management processes.
• Capture knowledge and write support articles.

Purpose of the Role

To support the organisation through Business Technology Operations.

Scopeof Role

• Operate theService Desk, being the 1st technicalpoint of contact for the user community
• Working within the Business Technology team to deliver the best experience for the end-users

Principal Accountabilities

• Handle incoming technical support though the Service Desk system and walk-ins to the Tech Bar, and manage the support requests

• Manage printers and their updates
• Capture knowledge and write support articles
• Help adviseour user community on the best application / service for their requirement
• Manage incidents to resolutionwithinSLA
• Analyses and repairs ICT product failures (software and hardware) including the Interpretation of diagnostics reports (e.g. system logs, network statistics, fault codes etc.) todetermineroot causes
• Liaise with hardware vendor when in support assets fail
• Work in a flexible manner withother teams to resolve user issues
• Information and cyber security management of corporate and product assets
• Out of hourssupport via on-call rota
• Escalate to Service Desk Manager/Business Technology team where required
• Supportingthe multiple sitesin theWoking area.
