Job summary

SWARCO UK & Ireland is seeking a Service Delivery Manager based at Exeter Depot to oversee maintenance activities across traffic signals, signs and ITS. You’ll lead Engineers, balance operations, customer relationships and safety, ensuring high quality service and contract compliance.

You will manage day to day operations, coordinate resources, monitor performance and drive continuous improvement while maintaining strong client communication and safe working practices.

Qualifications

• Experience leading operational teams in an engineering, maintenance, highways, traffic management or similar technical environment.
• Strong understanding of contract delivery, planned and reactive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Managing day‑to‑day delivery of planned and reactive maintenance activities across contracts.
• Leading, supporting and developing Engineers and other operational colleagues.
• Ensuring maintenance activities meet contractual requirements, service levels and customer expectations.
• Managing resources, workloads and priorities to ensure effective service delivery.
• Building strong relationships with customers and acting as a key point of contact.
• Monitoring performance, identifying risks and implementing improvements to service delivery.
• Managing contract costs, budgets and commercial performance, supporting financial targets.
• Ensuring Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental requirements are followed.
• Supporting recruitment, performance management and training within the team.
