Job summary

SWARCO UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Service Delivery Manager to lead maintenance delivery for traffic signals, ITS and related systems from Exeter Depot. You will manage engineers, budgets and customer relationships while ensuring compliance and service levels.

The role requires strong operational leadership, safety focus and ability to prioritise across multiple contracts in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Experience managing operational teams in engineering/maintenance/traffic sectors.
• Strong understanding of contract delivery and resource management.
• Proven people management with performance development.
• Health & Safety awareness and safe working practices.
• Commercial awareness: managing costs, budgets and performance.
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving.
• Ability to prioritise and deliver to contract requirements.
• Good IT skills and reporting systems experience.
• Full UK driving licence and travel willingness.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day delivery of planned and reactive maintenance.
• Develop Engineers and operational colleagues.
• Ensure activities meet contractual requirements and SLAs.
• Manage resources, standby plans and priorities.
• Maintain strong customer relationships as main contact.
• Monitor performance, identify risks, implement improvements.
• Control contract costs, budgets and financial targets.
• Ensure Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental compliance.
• Support recruitment, performance and development.
• Coordinate with Regional Ops Managers and Project Managers.
• Ensure records and reporting are accurate and timely.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency and service improvements.
