Job summary

Finning (UK) Ltd is seeking a Technical Service Controller to coordinate a team of engineers, plan resources and oversee work progress for on-time, quality service and a strong customer experience.

You will lead 4–8 engineers, manage open/close work orders, support billing accuracy, and maintain clear communication with customers and internal teams in a busy office environment.

Qualifications

• Background in plant, agricultural, or HGV engineering.
• Gas & Diesel Engine knowledge.
• Knowledge of mobile and fixed equipment components and systems.
• Understanding of warranty and commissioning processes.
• Strong planning, organisation and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret technical issues and support non-technical teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience in a similar role desirable.

• Monitor job progress, ensuring timely completion and accurate system updates.

• Experience in a similar role (desirable)

Education And Experience

• Foundational Engineering understanding and qualification
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a technical or mechanical engineering role (C&G / NVQ Apprenticeship)
• Previous experience in a similar role within similar industry environment desirable

Hours – 41.5.

Flexible working pattern between 7am – 6pm weekdays, with a potential for Saturday if required, Direct responsibility for planning, organising and despatching approx.
