Job summary

Career Choices Dewis Gyrfa Ltd is supporting a well-established, family-run automotive service centre in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, seeking a Service Centre Manager to lead a small team and oversee daily workshop operations.

This role offers a salary around £35,000 per annum, Monday to Friday, 8:15am-5:30pm, with in-house training, planned bonus schemes, and clear opportunities for career progression within a growing family-run business.

Qualifications

• Experience in motor trade is essential.
• Strong customer-facing and communication abilities are required.
• Experience in managing a workshop or team is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the service centre to ensure efficiency and high standards.
• Manage, support and organise a small team of Vehicle Technicians; allocate workshop jobs and oversee scheduling.
• Assist with workshop tasks as needed (diagnostic testing, basic repairs, tyre fitting).
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed and the workshop stays clean and compliant.
• Liaise with customers, provide professional updates, prepare estimates and quotations, and manage supplier relationships and stock.
