Job summary

At Sodexo, we're seeking a Hard FM Compliance Auditor to audit service delivery across the contract at Merville Barracks, Colchester. You will review maintenance records, certifications and documentation, identify non-conformances, and drive corrective actions while supporting ISO 9001/14001/45001 programs.

You will work with operations, contract management and client reps across ~130 buildings, using digital audit tools and CAFM systems, with a focus on safety, compliance and continuous

Qualifications

• Previous experience within Hard FM, engineering, building services or technical compliance.
• Experience carrying out audits or compliance checks within a maintenance or facilities environment.
• A good understanding of planned and reactive maintenance.
• The ability to review technical documentation and determine whether contractual and compliance requirements have been met.
• An understanding of health and safety and statutory compliance within an engineering environment.
• Strong attention to detail and an investigative approach.
• Confidence communicating findings and challenging non-compliance when required.
• Strong Microsoft 365 skills, particularly Word and Excel.
• The confidence to learn new CAFM and auditing systems.
• The ability to manage your own workload and work independently across a large site.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out audits across planned and reactive Hard FM maintenance activities.
• Reviewing maintenance records, certification, service reports and supporting documentation to ensure work has been completed correctly and contractual requirements have been met.
• Identifying non-conformances, areas of risk and opportunities for improvement.
• Raising and monitoring improvement actions and ensuring corrective actions are completed within agreed timescales.
• Supporting internal audits and ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 audit programmes.
• Compiling audit findings and contributing to monthly reporting for Sodexo management and the client.
• Identifying recurring issues and emerging compliance risks and escalating these appropriately.
• Working with managers, engineers, frontline colleagues and client representatives to communicate audit findings.
• Undertaking some accompanied audits with senior client and contract representatives.
• Using digital auditing systems and tablets to record findings and maintain accurate audit information.

• Monday - Friday - 08:00 - 17:00 with a 1-hour lunchbreak

Job Introduction

At Sodexo, we're looking for a Hard FM Compliance Auditor to join our team at Merville Barracks in Colchester, CO2 7UT. This is a varied role focused on independently auditing Hard FM service delivery across the contract, helping to ensure planned and reactive maintenance activities meet contractual, statutory and quality requirements.

You'll work across approximately 130 buildings, giving you exposure to a diverse range of services, assets and technical disciplines. You'll also work closely with operational teams, contract management and client representatives, so this is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical knowledge with auditing, investigation and stakeholder engagement.

You'll carry out a programme of contractual and internal audits across Hard FM services, including planned maintenance, reactive maintenance, statutory compliance and associated documentation.
