SAGA Truck & Van in Sittingbourne is seeking a workshop-based breakdown technician to provide 24/7 roadside assistance and servicing for Mercedes-Benz vehicles.

You will operate on a two-week rotating shift, covering on-call and second-line support from the Truck Workshop, with a strong focus on vehicle uptime, safety compliance and high service standards across Kent.

Competenze

• Experienced in HGV maintenance is required.
• Systems or diagnostic experience is desirable.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong technical background in automotive repair and service.
• Ability to use modern diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to follow health & safety regulations in and outside of workshop.

Job Overview:

The role is responsible for providing 24/7 breakdown and roadside assistance to customers, alongside workshop-based servicing and maintenance of customer vehicles. The position operates on a two-week rotating shift pattern, alternating between on-call and second-line breakdown support, and duties based at the Truck Workshop in Sittingbourne.
