Job summary

Randox Laboratories in Antrim is seeking a Serum QC Analyst for the night shift on a 12‑month fixed-term contract. The role focuses on testing, QC procedures, and data handling to ensure kit and in-process item conformity with Randox and OEM specs.

Onsite work at Randox Science Park, Antrim BT41 4FL. The candidate will perform multiple analytical procedures, maintain detailed QC records, and assist with training and value assignments under QC management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Immunology or Life Science.
• Excellent communication skills and analytical/problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; initiative and organisation.
• Computer literacy and strong time management.

Responsibilities

We have an opportunity for a fixed-term Serum QC Analyst (Night Shift) at our site in Antrim Town. This role will initially be offered on a 12 month fixed-term contract.

The core function of the role is product testing ensuring both kits and in-process items conform to Randox and OEM specifications.

Randox Science Park, 30 Randalstown Road, Antrim, BT41 4FL (Onsite)

Contract Offered

Full-time, 12 month contract

Working Hours / Shifts

4pm to 4am, or 7pm-7amTuesday to Thursday. Flexibility needed.

The Role

• Performing various analytical procedures.
• Following quality control and standard operating procedures.
• Testing in-process formulation samples as required by manufacturing departments
• Performing functional QC testing including level checks, precision, homogeneity and stability testing
• Analysis of external quality assessment (EQA) samples
• Assist in the training of new staff in established quality control processes.
• Assist with value assignment duties as directed by serum QC managers
• Operating various automated analysers and analytical equipment to generate reliable analytical data.
• Accurately maintaining quality control records.
• Preparing and processing analytical data for the production of serum value sheets.
• Troubleshooting of internal and customer queries related to functional QC in conjunction with the Technical Support Department.
• Performing routine maintenance and calibration of analytical instruments within the laboratory.

• Qualified to at least Bachelor's standard in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Immunology, or a Life Science discipline.
