Role Details

Position: SEO Manager (also known as Head of SEO, SEO Lead)
Salary: 50-55K, Bupa, Pension, Dental, Free Parking
Location: Cardiff (Central), Wales - Office-based with flexible hours

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize SEO performance daily, weekly, and monthly
• Lead and mentor a team including SEO Specialists, Digital PR Executives, and content specialists
• Identify search trends and keyword opportunities to increase conversions
• Respond swiftly to algorithm updates to maintain and improve rankings
• Address technical SEO issues with developers
• Improve Core Web Vitals and site speed
• Optimize pages for structure, intent, and conversion
• Align SEO strategies with content and business goals
• Drive digital PR and link-building campaigns to build authority
• Strengthen link profiles and outreach efforts
• Embed SEO best practices across teams from the start
• Link SEO actions directly to leads and revenue

Candidate Profile

• Proven leadership or mentoring experience in SEO
• Strong technical SEO, on-page optimization, and link-building skills
• Experience with GA4, Search Console, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and Looker Studio
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and communicate insights
• Proactive, commercial, and excellent communicator

Bonus points for familiarity with HTML/CSS, server log analysis, SEO certifications, influencer collaborations, or experience in legal, property sectors, or comparison sites.
