Job summary

CRKLR, a digital marketing agency, seeks an SEO Manager to lead technical and content SEO across a client portfolio with a focus on GEO/AIO and AI discovery. You will own the technical health of client sites, run audits, diagnose issues, and brief developers to fix issues precisely.

You'll also craft keyword-backed content strategies, build structured data, monitor performance, and report insights to clients while collaborating with paid media and content teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a technical SEO role, ideally agency-side.
• Strong GEO/AIO strategy experience — how to optimise for AI Overviews and generative surfaces.
• Hands-on proficiency with the core SEO toolkit: Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, SEMrush or similar, and basic HTML/CSS/JS literacy for diagnosing on-site issues.
• High level of proficiency with LLMs and AI-driven search workflows.
• Reporting experience and ability to automate client-ready insights (e.g. Looker Studio).

Responsibilities

• Lead the vision of SEO for the agency and communicate impact for clients.
• Run comprehensive technical SEO audits (crawlability, indexation, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, structured data).
• Identify and prioritise technical issues and manage fixes with development teams.
• Develop GEO/AIO strategies for AI Overviews and LLM-driven discovery.
• Build and maintain structured data and schema markup for rankings and AI discovery.
• Monitor organic performance and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with paid media and content teams to align SEO/GEO with paid strategy.
• Stay ahead of algorithm updates and share best practices across the agency.
• Support new business with SEO audits and GEO/AIO pitches.
• Write content focused on SEO/GEO for the company site and client profiles.
