SEO & Content Manager - 12-Month FTC

£40,000 - £48,000

Hybrid - Central London (3 days in office)

We are seeking a skilled SEO & Content Manager to join our marketing team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role involves leading SEO and content strategies to enhance our reach and engagement with millions of viewers.

The successful candidate will oversee SEO and content initiatives across multiple consumer-facing websites, focusing on increasing organic traffic, optimizing site performance, and creating compelling content to attract and retain customers.

You will report to the Head of Digital and collaborate with product, brand, data teams, and external agencies. The role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution, allowing you to influence content and SEO practices across various brands.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement SEO and content strategies to boost traffic and engagement
  • Manage site health and optimization, including UX, site speed, metadata, tagging, and internal linking
  • Define keyword strategies and oversee on-site SEO, aligning with broader paid search and digital initiatives
  • Coordinate editorial calendars, content pillars, and topic clusters across brands
  • Create and publish diverse content such as articles, product pages, newsletters, videos, and guides
  • Support campaign planning by aligning content with advertising, social media, and CRM activities
  • Explore integration of AI tools and automation into SEO and content workflows
  • Monitor performance metrics and utilize data insights to refine strategies
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in SEO and content marketing, preferably in B2C or agency settings
  • Strong technical SEO skills with familiarity in tools like Google Tag Manager, GA4, SEMrush, etc.
  • Experience managing or working with CMS platforms (Drupal experience is a plus)
  • Data-driven approach with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies
  • Excellent written communication skills and an eye for content performance
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience with AI or automation tools in SEO/content is advantageous
  • Experience with consumer-facing brands, such as publications, news, or media, with highly editorial content
