Digital Waffle is seeking an SEO Account Manager to lead a portfolio of client accounts from Wolverhampton. You’ll partner with SEO specialists to elevate organic visibility, drive engagement and deliver measurable business results.

You’ll craft engaging, search-focused content and GEO strategies, optimise pages and metadata, and report performance using analytics platforms. Hybrid role requires one office day weekly in Wolverhampton.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an SEO Account Manager or similar SEO-focused role.
• Strong understanding of on-page, off-page and technical SEO principles.
• Interest in Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) and AI-driven search.
• Exceptional content writing, copywriting and editing skills with conversion focus.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of SEO clients and build relationships through meetings, calls and emails.
• Develop and deliver SEO and GEO strategies to improve organic visibility and conversions.
• Coordinate day-to-day campaign delivery with deadlines across the team.
• Write SEO-optimised content for websites, blogs, pages and thought leadership.
• Improve metadata, headings, internal linking, image optimisation and on-page SEO.
• Review QA SEO recommendations and content across the team.
• Conduct keyword, topic and intent research using platforms like Semrush.
• Perform SEO audits on content opportunities, linking, authority and UX.
• Identify technical SEO issues and monitor crawlability, indexation, redirects and Core Web Vitals.
• Brief technical recommendations to developers and track implementation.
• Analyse performance with GA, GSC, Looker Studio and other tools.
• Produce client reports highlighting trends, opportunities and actions.
• Manage and optimise Google Business Profiles and local SEO activity.
• Stay current with Google updates, AI search developments and SEO best practices.
• Collaborate with wider digital teams on integrated projects.
