Are you someone who gets real satisfaction from helping children overcome challenges, build confidence and reach their potential?

Aspire People are working in partnership with a school in Hinckley who are looking for a caring, patient and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team.

This role is all about making a difference. You'll be supporting children with additional needs both in and out of the classroom, helping them engage with their learning, develop their confidence and feel settled within the school environment.

You don't need years of SEN experience to be considered. What's most important is that you have experience working with children, a genuine willingness to work with pupils with additional needs and the patience and understanding to support them as individuals.

You'll be based in one school, Monday to Friday, giving you the opportunity to build strong relationships with the children and become a familiar and trusted member of their support network.

What we're looking for:
  • Previous experience working with children is essential
  • A genuine interest in supporting children with SEN and additional needs
  • SEN experience would be desirable but is not essential
  • A relevant qualification such as a Level 2/3 Childcare, Teaching Assistant or SEN qualification would be desirable
  • Someone who is patient, caring and understanding
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Someone who can build trusting relationships with children
  • A good team player who can work closely with teachers and other support staff
  • A valid DBS on the Update Service is desirable, but if you don't currently have one, you must be willing to obtain one
What you can expect:
  • £105 per day
  • Monday to Friday, full-time
  • Long-term work based in one school
  • Support from your dedicated Aspire People consultant
  • The opportunity to gain valuable SEN experience
  • The chance to make a genuine difference to children's day-to-day school experience
  • The opportunity to become a trusted and valued member of the school team

If you have experience working with children and would like to take on a role where your support can genuinely make a difference, we'd love to hear from you.
