Job summary

Essex Cares Limited is seeking a dedicated Communicator Guide to join our Sensory Services team, supporting adults with sensory impairments to navigate daily life with confidence and choice.

You will travel across Essex to support customers, with the central office in Chelmsford, delivering compassionate care and promoting independence in the community.

Qualifications

• Must have full driving licence and access to a car to travel and transport customers.
• Confident driver with the ability to work independently in the community and as part of a growing team.
• Enjoy helping people and enabling independence through practical support and communication.

Responsibilities

Job description

Salary: £12.90 per hour plus 55p per mile
Hours :12 to 20 hours per week
Shifts: Various hours, primarily Monday – Friday

Contract: Permanent

Location: Travel required across Essex to support customers. Central office in Chelmsford.

About You

To be considered as a Sensory Support Worker, youneed:

• A full driving licence.
• Access to a car to travel and transport customers.
• To be a confident driver.
• To be able to work on your own initiative out in the community as well as be able to work as part of an expanding team.
• Enjoy working with people and are keen to enable independence.

British Sign Language (BSL) skills and/or qualifications would be advantageous to your application. BSL and non-BSL roles available.
