Aspire People are partnering with a specialist SEN school in Hinckley to recruit a Sensory Support Teaching Assistant. You will support pupils with sensory needs, autism and complex additional needs, delivering 1:1 and small-group assistance to help learners access activities and stay engaged.

The role requires patience, resilience, and the ability to create a calm, predictable environment while building strong relationships with pupils and staff. Daily pay is offered through Aspire People.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN is essential.
  • Experience supporting children with sensory needs, autism or complex needs would be highly desirable.

Sensory Support Teaching Assistant - Hinckley

Location: Hinckley

Pay: £105 per day

Working Pattern: Monday-Friday, 5 days a week

Start Date: ASAP / dependent on availability

Aspire People have partnered with a specialist SEN school in Hinckley who are looking for an experienced and compassionate Sensory Support Teaching Assistant to join their team.

About the Role

You will provide tailored support to pupils, helping them manage their sensory needs and access learning as successfully as possible.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support
  • Supporting pupils with sensory processing needs
  • Helping children manage sensory overload and emotional regulation
  • Supporting pupils with autism and complex additional needs
  • Using appropriate sensory strategies to support engagement
  • Creating a calm, safe and predictable environment
  • Helping pupils access classroom activities and learning
  • Supporting communication, independence and confidence
  • Building strong and trusting relationships with pupils

We're Looking For
